GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN...CRYSTAL COLE

It is with a heavy pen and very heavy hearts that we announce the loss of one of our own this past weekend. Crystal Cole was taken from this earth entirely too soon. But to all that knew her - her captivating personality and magnetic presence will live on in spirit and in memory, for those we love don't go away...they walk beside us every day.

"On Saturday June 6, 2015 sadly we lost one of our kickball family members. Crystal Cole was a vivacious, energetic, thoughtful person. She was the true life of any party, with her love of music you could always find her bopping her beautiful blonde locks to the beat of any DJ. She enjoyed traveling the country for the chance to be live and up front and truly feel the sound of the base pump threw her body. Crystal was well known in the Rochester community as she spent most her time either making us all fabulous drinks @ our favorite watering holes, OR kicking her way into our hearts on the kickball field. No matter what she was doing she brought a ray of sunshine with her. She has left behind two wonderful children, a son Chase, and a daughter Abby. Chase is an up and coming soccer star who hopes someday to compete in the big league. He and his mother had a special bond, and when they were together you could see the sparkle in her eye. Abby is a soft spoken, kind young lady who enjoys to dance. She is a spit image of crystal and often refered to as Crystal's mini-me. Her children brought out the gentle, nurturing side so many of us will miss. As we say good-bye to a friend it's never easy, Crystal Cole you will always be in our hearts and memories, and every time the sun shines, or a dragonfly flutters by, or the base drops on our favorite song we will know it's you saying Hello and you love us back!" ~ Beckie Dodge

NACKA Kickball is setting up a double elimination charity tournament, to be held on Sunday July 12th, in Crystal's memory. Check in will be at 8:30am, with a 9am start. More information, including proceed details will be available shortly.

Calling hours for Crystal Cole are on Thursday, June 11th and a funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th. Please visit the website below for further details.

NACKA's Captains Meeting is being held on Sunday, May 31st at 7:00pm at JD Oxfords. So set your DVR's to record Dancing with the Stars ballers...you might not make it home in time to watch it live. NO SHIRT...NO SERVICE!!

Hopefully by now you've stopped being lame and have registered for NACKA's Summer Kickball Season. Closing time for team registration is creeping up fast and steady and we'd hate for you to be left out on the streets...homeless & friendless.

Summer registration is open until 11:59pm on May 21st. Not midnight...we said, 11:59pm. Once registration closes, the shut off for your NACKA t-shirt order closes right after on May 22nd. Meaning, if you don't sign-up for kickball you'll be left out on the streets homeless, friendless, and now shirtless. Don't go naked...play kickball.

Each registered player is allowed one official NACKA Kickball t-shirt free of charge in their selected size. If you don't select a size when signing-up, you will be ordered whatever size is displayed on your form. This could be disastrous for some...think Tommy Boy, "fat man in a little coat". FYI: Additional tees are $10.00 each and hoodies are $20.00...we seriously have better prices than Aeropostale.

Even though most of you have forgotten that it's Mother's Day on Sunday and suck at being children...that doesn't mean that you have to forget about kickball and suck at life. Sign up, get a shirt, grab a beer, and play some ball. Time...she is a ticking.

CATCHING A BALL + CATCHING IT ON CAMERA = AWESOME!

It is hard to believe that there are only a few more weeks left until the NACKA Spring Kickball Season comes to a close. We started out playing around snow banks and are finishing up sweating our faces off in shorts. Speaking of faces...

Here at NACKA we are lucky enough to have a professional photographer on location for each game. Our photographer, Robert Frohne of Frohtography, beautifully captures all of our glorious and less-than-glorious kickball moments. And because there are a lot of images in the less-than-glorious department, it would be truly irresponsible of us not to post these in an article. You can almost feel the sheer determination and the complete mental instability of our NACKA players while in the field trying to catch a soft rubber ball. Enjoy!

As most of you know by now, registration for NACKA's summer season is now open and ready for sign-ups. However, what some of you out there might not know (if you live under a rock or in a van down by the river), is how many show stopping sponsors we have available to help reduce your team registration fee. We know...we know...we couldn't get any more awesome if we juggled flaming beer cans with our ears.

Our official bar sponsors have agreed to contribute money towards our kickball teams and will pay NACKA directly. This way you don't have to worry about their portion of your teams registration fee. You can better spend your time worrying about other things...like whether or not boxing is rigged or what will the new princess be wearing around London. All you have to do is register for NACKA, pick a sponsor from our list, play fantastic kickball, and go to your sponsors establishment to get your drink on...your eat on...or your swerve on. KICK IT! SUMMER REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

What's the 411?? NACKA has just opened up its summer 2015 team registration! That's right drunky smurfs...it's that time again. It's time to sign up for pounding beers and balls under the blazing lights at Sahlen's Stadium! Heard.

After the weather molestation that we all experienced this year, just the sheer thought of getting outside to play some summer kickball should be enough to get anyone hot and in the mood. We believe that DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince said it best with, "It's like the summer is a natural aphrodisiac". No oysters needed.

Normal summer registration is open until Thursday, May 21st. However, since we're such an incredibly generous kickball league...if you register your team before midnight on May 3rd you'll get a $50 discount. And do you know what $50 will get you? About 10 beers and a dozen chicken wings at JD Oxfords. And that's a little something we like to call...dinner.

No Bananarama, it's not going to be a "Cruel Summer", it's gonna be an awesome summer down at the stadium. Who wouldn't want to unwind after a long day in their air conditioned cubicle by being outside on a warm summer night with an ice cold beer (or 7). Don't take your pent-up office frustration out on your cube mate or your dog...take it out on the turf...by blasting people in the back with big balls for 7 innings straight. We've got the best therapy in town!!!

Sign-up, register, and play. Or just sit home and be miserable this summer in your hot apartment and continue to beat your dog like a pansy.
