ERIN GO BRAGH BALLERS!

Some pretty awesome things have come out of Ireland...U2, shamrocks, Enya, Collin Farrell, and of course, Guinness. As the "luck of the Irish" would have it, during the middle of March every year we get to celebrate everything Irish by drinking so much that we actually convince ourselves that we all are in fact, directly from Ireland.

Saturday, March 14th, kicks off the 38th annual St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Rochester. East Avenue and Main Street will soon be transformed into a make-shift Emerald Isle, as thousands of lads and lasses gather in green to channel their inner leprechaun spirit. And how does one channel their inner leprechaun you ask? By polishing off 7 pints of Guinness, plastering your face with shamrock stickers, covering your neck in green beads, and by shouting "Erin go bragh" at the top of your lungs in a very, very bad Irish accent, that's how.

Guinness Beer Ireland

Beginning at 12:30pm at the intersection of East and Scio, this years parade will feature a crap load of marchers, floats, and music. From marching bands to horses to bag pipes to dancers, this magically delicious event has something for everyone. Not to mention all of the bars you can pop-in and visit on your way down the parade route!

And if you're even the slightest bit nervous about all the empty green beer calories you will pound down this year...there's a solution for that too! You can keep your girlish figure fit & trim by signing up for the Johnny's "Runnin' O The Green" 5 mile run at 9:30am this Saturday before the parade. That's like killing 2 birds with 1 Blarney Stone, if you ask us.

Hopefully we will see some NACKA kickballers at the parade and we can say "they're always trying to get their hands on me lucky charms" together! Slainte!
